International Meeting of Young Creators in the Performing Arts
It was born in 2012 as a meeting point for young artists from different countries who are in search of a contemporary and their own language.

The main objective was to launch an International Meeting that would allow the creation of professional networks among young creators from different parts of the world, with different social realities and different forms of expression of the stage performance.

Likewise, the town of Mairena could enjoy contemporary international shows that could not be performed in the town outside the framework that this Encuentro offers.

The objectives were ambitious, and the result has been a pioneering, singular and referent project in Andalusia, which has transformed and revolutionized the Mairenero summer, with great visibility abroad and which serves as a projection to young talents.

EMERGENTES is the result of collaboration between the Hon. City Council of Mairena del Alcor and Habitated Theater.
